Thinking about running for an officer position for next year? Do you want to know what it’s like to have a leadership position? POPS will be having interns upcoming Spring 2024!

The purpose of this is to help members experience what it takes to be an officer, learn more about the position, figure out if this is something they want to do, and create even stronger officers for next year.

Every intern will be required to attend two mandatory intern meetings in the Spring and, depending on the position, have about 1-2 hours of work every other week or so. You will be assisting our officers and will have assignments that pertain to your role. 2-3 interns will be selected for each position.

If you do want to learn more about what each position entails, the Officer Roles and Regulations which outlines each officer’s responsibilities is under the Officers page! Interns will have a slight advantage over other candidates when it comes time for elections in April since they will already understand what it takes to succeed in their Officer position! Applications will be strictly due by December 17th at 11:59 PM.

There is no point requirement to be an intern, but members with more points will be given priority on their first-choice position. Spots are limited, so be sure to attend more events, meetings, or volunteering opportunities to get more points.
