About HAVIN: We pronounce it as “haven” because we are a safe place to come to for people who are experiencing vision loss. HAVIN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization staffed by a board of volunteers that brings together 9 groups and organizations that serve the blindness community across the greater Houston area.

One of the primary ways HAVIN serves our mission of “Bringing unity to our community” is through our signature event the HAVIN Insight Expo, an annual event we have held since 2011. This day-long event, sponsored by the University of Houston College of Optometry and featuring speakers, workshops, panel presentations, and exhibitors  will be held at the University of Houston’s College of Optometry

Location:University of Houston’s College of Optometry – Health 1 Building

Important Information: If you can no longer attend the event, please let the Community Service Chair know at least 2 days before the event. With the exception of emergencies, if you notify the CSC after the two days, a warning will be given, but if it occurs again, points will be deducted.
